Prior to her illness, Jezreel was a highly successful sales manager for Universal Circulation Marketing, and helped mentored other young women on accomplishing their dreams...

Hello, friends, this is Shebuah on behalf of my family in a desperate attempt to save my little sister Jezreel's life. She is suffering from an excruciatingly painful medical condition that world class physicians and neurologists through Sharp Health Care,  UCSD,  and specialists at Scripp's La Jolla have been unable to diagnose or treat for the past 18 months.

She has been in agony every day, and has stated that she can't take the pain much longer, and we are afraid for her life. We already lost our 19-year-old brother, Michael, to suicide in 1996, and can't bear to lose Jez too!

How you can Help:

First of all, THANK YOU for taking the time to read our story.  Below are some pictures of her, our family, and details of her illness. We are asking for anyone who is willing to help us fight for her life, please read her symptoms below and:

  •   If you have media contacts (TV, Magazines, Newspapers, etc.) that are interested in covering a human interest story, please call or email with their contact information. We are in the process of contacting Oprah, Dr. Phil, Montel Williams, etc., and it is very difficult.

  •   If you would like to donate money or time to helping Jezreel get needed medical services, please contact us for the address. We are currently working on ways to process donations.

  •   If you would like to send Jezreel prayers and encouragement, please do so at shebuah@aol.com.

Before:

Before the onset of her illness: Jezreel & her Fiancé Jason Chandler take advantage of their day off work at the Oceanside, California Beach...

Prior to her illness, Jezreel  was a driven, professional executive sales manager, and  mentored other young women on keys to success.

Since the beginning of 2008, Jez has been unable to shower herself without assistance from our sister Rosetta, who is now 7 months pregnant. She can't sit up for more than 15 min., or cook for herself. At times, the pain is so bad, she can hardly breathe.

Jezreel has had thoughts of dying since January due to the severity of her pain, in spite of several medications.

Her Primary Care Physician, Dr. Novak, (Sharp Health Care, San Diego) wrote a referral for Jezreel to be seen at the Mayo clinic.

Her Neurologist and two Rheumatologists, (UCSD, Scripps) suggested that she was beyond their field of medicine and would benefit from Mayo Clinic's specialized treatment, but...

The referral was denied by her insurance (Pacific Care) because it is "Out of Network..."

After:

"The pain gets so bad I can hardly breathe..."

More Medical  History:                                                                       back to top

Originally, the Dr. thought muscle spasms were causing the pain, and sent her to physical therapy, but her pain kept increasing; she was forced to quit work and is bed-ridden.

Patient seen by Dr. Kaye, Rheumatologist, who stated a possibility of Spondalo Arthropathy, but her symptoms don't match. Jez states that various areas of her body that feel fine when she goes to bed, feel like she had been badly beaten upon arising: (collar bone, ribs) and can't do anything all day.

For approximately 6 weeks, her shoulder pain was so bad, she couldn't raise her arms above shoulder level and had to have her sister dress her. She would awaken in the middle of the night feeling like someone had run over her hands and feet. After about a month, that that pain subsided and was replaced with locking joints in her jaw and fingers. Lyrica provided temporary partial relief of those symptoms.
